Finance & Tax Operations Specialist (Remote, USA)
About the role
We are hiring a Finance & Tax Operations Specialist to support financial reporting, tax processes, and operational finance for a company working with the US market.
This is a hands-on role for someone who is strong in accounting operations, reporting, Excel, and especially US tax-related processes (Sales Tax experience is highly preferred).
The position is remote and open to candidates from Eastern Europe, Canada, and Latin America who can work independently in a fast-moving environment.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and maintain financial reports (P&L, balance sheets, monthly reporting)
- Support US Sales Tax reporting and related financial processes
- Work with spreadsheets, financial data, and operational metrics
- Assist with financial analytics and unit economics
- Maintain reporting dashboards in Power BI or similar tools
- Coordinate with accountants and external finance partners
- Help improve financial workflows and reporting accuracy
- Support management with regular financial updates
Requirements
- 2–5 years of experience in accounting, finance, or financial operations
- Practical experience with US tax processes or Sales Tax reporting
- Strong Excel / Google Sheets skills
- Understanding of P&L, balance sheets, and financial reporting
- Experience with Power BI or similar reporting tools is a plus
- Good written and spoken English
- Ability to work independently in a remote team

- Experience working with US or international companies
- Experience with CRM or finance system integrations
- Experience managing or coordinating junior accountants
