Typesetter (Contract)



We are searching for a skilled typesetter to join our team on a contract basis. As a typesetter, you will be responsible for arranging text and images in a visually appealing and readable format. This role requires strong attention to detail and the ability to work efficiently under tight deadlines.

Responsibilities:
- Typeset written material according to specified guidelines and layout
- Ensure proper spacing, alignment, font style, and size are used for consistency
- Manipulate images and graphics to fit within the design
- Proofread and make necessary corrections to ensure accuracy
- Collaborate with editors, designers, and other team members to produce high-quality final products
- Meet project deadlines while maintaining quality standards

Requirements:
- Proficiency in typesetting software such as Adobe InDesign or QuarkXPress
- Strong understanding of typography, layout, and design principles
- Excellent attention to detail and time management skills
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
- Flexibility to adapt to changing project requirements
