Entry-Level Carpenter in Alta, Norway



We are seeking an Entry-Level Carpenter to join our team in Alta, Norway. As a Carpenter, you will be responsible for building, installing, and repairing structures made of wood, plywood, and other materials. This is a full-time position with a salary of 1800$. We welcome candidates without prior experience in carpentry and offer visa sponsorship for qualified applicants.

Responsibilities:
- Read and interpret blueprints to determine materials needed and dimensions for construction
- Measure and mark cutting lines on materials using rulers, pencils, or marking gauges
- Cut lumber or plywood to specified dimensions using hand or power tools
- Assemble and fasten materials together using nails, screws, staples or adhesives
- Install structures such as windows, frames, floorings, trimmings etc.
- Repair existing structures by replacing damaged wood pieces or parts
- Maintain tools and equipment in good working condition
- Follow safety procedures at all times to avoid accidents or injuries on the job site

Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent education required
- Prior experience in carpentry preferred but not required
- Ability to read blueprints and use measuring tools accurately
- Proficient in using hand and power tools
- Physically fit to lift heavy objects and work in various weather conditions
- Good communication skills
- Attention to detail and ability to follow instructions
- Valid work visa for Norway (visa sponsorship available for qualified applicants)
