Instrument Technician


We are in need of an experienced and skilled Instrument Technician to join our team in Oslo. As an Instrument Technician, you will be responsible for maintaining, repairing, and calibrating various types of instruments used in industrial processes. You will work with a variety of equipment such as pressure gauges, flow meters, temperature sensors, and control valves. The ideal candidate should have strong technical knowledge and troubleshooting skills, as well as the ability to work independently or as part of a team.

Responsibilities:
- Inspect, test, calibrate and repair various instruments used in industrial processes.
- Troubleshoot instrument issues and determine the root cause of malfunctions.
- Perform routine maintenance on instruments to ensure optimal performance.
- Install new instruments and update existing ones according to specifications.
- Collaborate with engineers and other technicians to troubleshoot complex issues.
- Keep accurate records of all maintenance activities and repairs performed.
- Ensure all work is completed within safety guidelines.

Requirements:
- Diploma or degree in Instrumentation Technology or related field.
- Minimum 3 years of experience working as an Instrument Technician.
- Strong knowledge of various types of instruments used in industrial processes.
- Proficient in reading technical diagrams, schematics and manuals.
- Good understanding of electrical systems and PLCs.
- Ability to use diagnostic tools and perform calibration procedures accurately.
- Excellent troubleshooting skills with attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently or as part of a team.
- Physically capable of working at heights or confined spaces if required.
