Executive Chef


As an Executive Chef at our high-end restaurant in Bergen, you will be responsible for overseeing the entire culinary operation. Your main goal will be to ensure that every dish served is of the highest quality and consistently meets our standards. This role requires a skilled chef with strong leadership abilities, a creative mindset, and a passion for delivering exceptional dining experiences.

Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and design menus that align with our restaurant's concept and appeal to our target audience
- Create new dishes and regularly update the menu to keep it fresh and exciting
- Train, manage, and supervise kitchen staff, including sous chefs, line cooks, and prep cooks
- Monitor food inventory levels and order supplies as needed while maintaining budgetary guidelines
- Oversee food preparation and ensure that all dishes are cooked to perfection
- Maintain high standards of cleanliness and sanitation in the kitchen area
- Collaborate with front-of-house staff to ensure smooth operations during service hours

Requirements:
- Proven experience as an Executive Chef or similar role in a high-end restaurant
- Culinary degree or equivalent experience in a reputable establishment
- In-depth knowledge of various cooking techniques, ingredients, and flavor profiles
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to train, motivate, and manage kitchen staff effectively
- Creative mindset with a passion for experimenting with new flavors and presentation styles
- Excellent time management skills with the ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously in a fast-paced environment
- Strong knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices for maintaining a safe working environment

Salary:
We offer a competitive salary of $1500 per month, along with potential for bonuses based on performance.
