Head Chef
As a Head Chef at our upscale restaurant in the bustling city of New York, you will be responsible for creating and executing a diverse and dynamic menu that reflects our commitment to quality and innovation. We are seeking a skilled and experienced chef to lead our kitchen team and elevate our culinary offerings.
Responsibilities:
- Designing menus that showcase seasonal ingredients and incorporate global flavors
- Overseeing all aspects of food preparation, including cooking, plating, and presentation
- Managing inventory and ensuring proper storage of ingredients
- Training and supervising kitchen staff to maintain high standards of cleanliness, organization, and food safety
- Collaborating with management to develop new ideas for special events or promotions
- Maintaining a positive working relationship with front-of-house staff to ensure a seamless dining experience for guests
Requirements:
- Proven experience as a head chef or executive chef in a fine dining establishment
- Extensive knowledge of diverse cooking techniques, ingredients, and flavor profiles
- Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously while maintaining attention to detail
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and inspire kitchen staff
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to work collaboratively with others
- Must be able to work flexible hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays
- Culinary degree or equivalent certification preferred
Salary: $1300 per week
