Head Pastry Chef

We are seeking a talented and experienced Head Pastry Chef to join our team at a high-end bakery in Roskilde, Denmark. As the Head Pastry Chef, you will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of our pastry kitchen, including menu creation, recipe development, and production. Your main goal will be to deliver delicious and visually stunning pastries that meet our customers' expectations.

Responsibilities:
- Create and develop new pastry recipes that align with our bakery's overall concept and quality standards
- Oversee the production of pastries, ensuring they are made with precision and attention to detail
- Train and supervise pastry chefs and bakers on proper techniques and procedures
- Manage inventory and ensure all ingredients are stocked and stored correctly
- Monitor food costs and make adjustments as needed to maintain profitability
- Collaborate with other departments to create seasonal menus or special event offerings
- Maintain a clean and organized kitchen environment at all times

Requirements:
- Proven experience as a Head Pastry Chef or similar role in a high-volume establishment
- In-depth knowledge of baking techniques, ingredients, equipment, and sanitation standards
- Creative flair for developing unique pastry creations
- Ability to lead a team and provide guidance to junior chefs
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently
- Excellent communication skills (verbal and written) in English or Danish preferred

Qualifications:
- Culinary degree or equivalent certification from a reputable institution preferred
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in pastry/bakery operations
- Experience working in high-end establishments or luxury hotels is an advantage
- Must have strong leadership skills, be detail-oriented, and able to work under pressure
Salary: 1400$ per month
