Database Administrator (DBA) - Aalborg, Denmark



As a Database Administrator (DBA) at our company in Aalborg, Denmark, you will be responsible for the performance, integrity and security of our company's databases. Your role will involve working with a team of developers to ensure that our databases are efficient and effective in supporting the needs of our organization.

Responsibilities:
- Install and maintain database software
- Monitor database performance and tune as necessary
- Troubleshoot and resolve database issues
- Ensure data integrity and security through regular backups and disaster recovery plans
- Develop and implement policies, procedures and standards related to database management
- Collaborate with developers to design, test and implement new databases or changes to existing ones
- Provide technical support for database-related projects
- Train end users on how to access and use databases effectively

Requirements:
- Proven work experience as a Database Administrator or similar role
- In-depth knowledge of database management systems (SQL Server, Oracle, MySQL)
- Experience with data backup, recovery and migration
- Familiarity with SQL/PLSQL programming languages
- Proficient in troubleshooting common database issues
- Excellent analytical skills with a strong attention to detail
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team

Preferred Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field
- Knowledge of data warehousing concepts and techniques
- Experience with cloud-based databases such as AWS RDS or Azure SQL Database
- Familiarity with Agile development methodology
