Job Title: Librarian - Collections Specialist


We are hiring a skilled Librarian - Collections Specialist to join our team in Svalbard. In this role, you will be responsible for managing, organizing, and maintaining our library collections. You must have previous experience working as a librarian and a strong understanding of library cataloging systems. As a Collections Specialist, you will be responsible for selecting and acquiring new materials for the library, as well as evaluating and removing outdated materials. You must possess excellent organizational skills and attention to detail to keep our collections up-to-date and easily accessible to all patrons. This is a full-time position that requires the ability to work independently and collaboratively with other team members. Preference will be given to candidates with prior experience in a similar role and the ability to speak multiple languages. We offer a competitive salary of $1300 per month without accommodation, making this an ideal opportunity for someone looking for their next professional challenge in Svalbard.
