Pastry Chef
We are hiring a skilled Pastry Chef to join our team at a luxury hotel in Bansko, Bulgaria. As a Pastry Chef, you will be responsible for creating delicious desserts and baked goods that will delight our guests. You will work closely with the kitchen team to ensure that all food is prepared and presented according to our high standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Designing and creating a variety of desserts, pastries, and breads
- Preparing ingredients and measuring quantities accurately
- Maintaining inventory of supplies and ordering ingredients as needed
- Following recipes and adjusting them as necessary
- Ensuring food is prepared and presented in a timely manner
- Collaborating with other chefs and kitchen staff to plan menus
- Overseeing the work of pastry assistants or apprentices
- Maintaining a clean and organized pastry station
- Ensuring compliance with health, safety, and sanitation regulations
Candidate Requirements:
- Proven experience as a Pastry Chef or similar role in a high-end establishment
- Knowledge of different baking techniques and methods
- Ability to create visually appealing desserts while maintaining taste and quality
- Excellent time management skills with the ability to work under pressure
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
- Strong communication skills to effectively work with other kitchen staff
- Attention to detail for accurate measurement of ingredients
- Good physical stamina to stand for long periods of time and lift heavy objects when needed
Salary: $1700 per month
