Indian Pastry Chef
As an Indian Pastry Chef in our Vianden-based restaurant, you will be responsible for creating and preparing a variety of delicious and authentic Indian desserts and pastries. Your expertise in Indian cuisine and experience in pastry making will be crucial in satisfying our customers' cravings for traditional Indian sweets.
Key Responsibilities:
- Designing and developing new dessert menu items, while also improving existing offerings
- Ensuring that all pastry and dessert items are prepared and presented according to our standards of quality, taste, and appearance
- Managing inventory of ingredients to ensure availability for daily production needs
- Training and supervising junior pastry chefs and kitchen staff on proper techniques and recipes
- Maintaining a clean, organized, and sanitary work environment at all times
- Collaborating with other chefs to create seasonal menus that incorporate Indian desserts
Requirements:
- At least 3 years of experience as a Pastry Chef or similar role, with a focus on Indian cuisine
- Strong knowledge of traditional Indian desserts, such as gulab jamun, ras malai, jalebi, etc.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while still maintaining attention to detail
- Excellent time-management skills to ensure timely production of desserts for service hours
- Creativity and passion for experimenting with new flavors and dessert presentations
- Knowledge of food safety regulations and practices
- Strong communication skills to effectively train staff members from diverse cultural backgrounds
Salary:
The salary for this position is 1300$ per month.
