Cashier - Customer Service Representative



We are a retail store in Nairobi, seeking a qualified and experienced Cashier/Customer Service Representative to join our team. As the first point of contact for our customers, the ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills and a friendly demeanor.

Responsibilities:
- Greet customers and provide them with exceptional customer service
- Process transactions accurately and efficiently
- Handle cash, credit, and debit card payments
- Maintain a clean and organized checkout area
- Keep track of inventory and alert management when items are running low
- Assist with answering phone calls and directing customers to appropriate departments
- Handle customer complaints professionally and escalate when necessary
- Provide customers with information about products, promotions, and store policies

Requirements:
- Previous experience as a cashier or in customer service preferred
- Ability to handle cash transactions accurately
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Must be able to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment
- Basic math skills are necessary for calculating transactions accurately
- Must be able to stand for long periods of time
- Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends
