Reference Librarian


We are seeking a highly organized and knowledgeable Reference Librarian to join our library team in Salalah. As a Reference Librarian, you will be responsible for providing reference and research assistance to library patrons, managing the reference collection, and promoting information literacy skills.

Responsibilities:
- Provide reference and research assistance to library patrons in person, by phone or email.
- Assist patrons with accessing online databases and resources.
- Conduct information literacy sessions for students and community members.
- Manage the reference collection by selecting, organizing, and maintaining materials.
- Collaborate with other librarians to develop and implement library programs and services.
- Stay updated on new resources and technologies in the field of librarianship.
- Help maintain a welcoming and organized atmosphere in the library.

Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Library Science or related field.
- Knowledge of reference sources, research methods, and information literacy principles.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively with colleagues.
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail.
- Proficiency in English is required; knowledge of Arabic is a plus.

Salary:
This is a full-time position with a salary of 1100$ per month. We also offer a comprehensive benefits package including free visa sponsorship and round-trip ticket for foreigners.
