Librarian - Chelyabinsk, Russia


We are seeking a detail-oriented and knowledgeable Librarian to join our team in Chelyabinsk, Russia. As a Librarian, you will manage and organize our collection of books, magazines, and other materials. Your responsibilities will include cataloging items, assisting patrons with research requests, maintaining the library's computer systems, and overseeing the circulation of materials.

Key Responsibilities:
- Catalog and organize books, magazines, and other materials in the library according to the Dewey Decimal System
- Assist patrons with research inquiries and direct them to appropriate resources
- Maintain the library's computer systems including databases and online catalogues
- Oversee the circulation of materials by checking items in and out for patrons
- Ensure that all library policies and procedures are followed by patrons
- Create displays to promote new arrivals or special collections
- Develop programs and events to engage the community in reading and learning
- Keep up-to-date with industry trends and new technologies for managing library resources.

Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Library Science or related field preferred
- Minimum of 2 years experience as a librarian or in a similar role
- Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail
- Strong knowledge of cataloging systems such as Dewey Decimal System or Library of Congress Classification
- Familiarity with online databases and search engines for research purposes
- Proficient in computer skills including Microsoft Office Suite
- Excellent communication skills
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
- Knowledge of Russian language is preferred but not required.

Salary: $1200 per month (negotiable based on experience)
