Executive Chef - Filipino Cuisine (Nairobi, Kenya)
We are seeking a highly skilled and creative Executive Chef with expertise in Filipino cuisine to join our team in Nairobi, Kenya. As an Executive Chef, you will be responsible for overseeing the entire kitchen operations and ensuring the highest quality of food is served to our guests.
Key Responsibilities:
- Plan and develop menus featuring authentic and innovative Filipino dishes
- Oversee all kitchen activities, including food preparation, cooking, and presentation
- Train and supervise kitchen staff on proper techniques, recipes, and safety procedures
- Maintain inventory levels and order necessary supplies to ensure smooth operations
- Monitor food quality and presentation to maintain high standards
- Create new dishes and update existing menus based on seasonal ingredients and customer feedback
- Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and maintain a clean working environment
Requirements:
- At least 5 years of experience as an Executive Chef specializing in Filipino cuisine
- Extensive knowledge of traditional Filipino dishes and cooking techniques
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to effectively manage a team
- Excellent communication skills in English (Filipino language skills are preferred)
- Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
Salary: $1100 per month (negotiable based on experience)
Location: Nairobi, Kenya
