Job Title: Head Chef - Luxury Hotel (Nairobi, Kenya)


We are seeking a talented and experienced Head Chef to lead the culinary team at our luxury hotel in Nairobi, Kenya. As the Head Chef, you will be responsible for creating and implementing menus, overseeing food preparation and presentation, managing inventory and budget, and ensuring overall quality and consistency in our dining experience.

To excel in this role, you must have at least 5 years of previous experience as an Executive Chef or similar role in a high-end hotel or restaurant. You should have a strong passion for creating innovative and delicious dishes using local ingredients. A degree or certification in culinary arts is preferred.

As the head of our kitchen team, you will be responsible for hiring, training, and mentoring kitchen staff to ensure exceptional service standards. Excellent leadership skills are essential for this role.

We are looking for a creative thinker who can develop seasonal menus that showcase the best flavors of Nairobi while also catering to dietary restrictions and preferences of our diverse clientele. You should have excellent time management skills to handle multiple tasks while maintaining quality standards.

The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of food safety and sanitation regulations and ensure strict compliance with them. Experience with inventory management, cost control measures, and profit maximization strategies is also required.
