Accountant

As an Accountant, you will be responsible for managing financial transactions and maintaining accurate records for our company in Kaunas. Your main duties will include preparing and analyzing financial statements, tracking expenses and revenues, and ensuring compliance with accounting principles.

Key Responsibilities:
- Record day-to-day financial transactions accurately and timely
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and yearly financial statements
- Analyze financial data to identify trends and discrepancies
- Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable processes
- Reconcile bank statements and monitor cash flow
- Ensure compliance with legal requirements and company policies
- Collaborate with other departments to gather financial information for budgeting and forecasting purposes
- Assist with tax preparation and audits
- Stay updated on changes in accounting regulations and implement necessary adjustments

Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance (or equivalent)
- Minimum of 2 years of experience as an Accountant or similar role
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles, laws, regulations, and best practices
- Proficient in MS Office (especially Excel) and accounting software (e.g. QuickBooks)
- Excellent communication skills (both verbal and written)
- Attention to detail with a high level of accuracy
- Ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment

Preferred Qualifications:
- CPA certification or working towards it
- Experience in the same industry or similar role
- Familiarity with tax laws specific to Kaunas, Lithuania

Salary:
We offer a competitive salary package of $1400 per month for this full-time position.
