Livestock Specialist (Riyadh, Canada)


We are seeking a highly experienced and knowledgeable Livestock Specialist to join our team in Riyadh. This position requires an individual with a strong background in animal husbandry, specifically in the management and care of various livestock species. As a Livestock Specialist, you will be responsible for overseeing the health and well-being of our livestock, as well as implementing best practices for breeding, feeding, and overall management.

Key Responsibilities:
- Monitor the health and welfare of all livestock on the farm
- Develop and implement breeding programs to ensure healthy and productive herds
- Create and maintain accurate records of livestock inventory, production data, and health records
- Perform routine health checks and administer necessary vaccinations or medications as needed
- Oversee the daily feeding and nutrition of livestock to ensure optimal growth and production
- Manage the maintenance of facilities including barns, pens, and equipment used for handling livestock

Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Animal Science or related field preferred
- Minimum of 5 years experience working with various types of livestock
- Strong understanding of animal husbandry principles
- Ability to identify signs of illness or injury in livestock
- Knowledge of breeding techniques and best practices
- Excellent record keeping skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Physical ability to perform tasks such as lifting heavy feed bags or tending to sick animals
