We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Sous Chef to join our team in Chelyabinsk, Russia. The ideal candidate must have a strong passion for cooking and be able to work in a fast-paced environment. The Sous Chef will assist the Head Chef in managing the kitchen operations and ensuring high-quality dishes are served to our customers.
Responsibilities:
- Assist the Head Chef in supervising the kitchen staff and managing daily operations
- Create new menu items and ensure consistency in food quality and presentation
- Train and mentor junior chefs and kitchen staff
- Oversee food preparation, cooking, and plating to meet customer expectations
- Manage inventory and ordering of ingredients, supplies, and equipment
- Ensure compliance with food safety standards and regulations
- Collaborate with other departments to plan special events or promotions
- Handle any customer complaints related to food quality or service
Requirements:
- Minimum of 5 years experience as a Sous Chef or similar role in a high-volume restaurant or hotel setting
- Strong knowledge of various cooking techniques, ingredients, equipment, and menu planning
- Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills
- Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment
- Fluent in English (Russian language skills would be an asset)
- Must have a valid work permit for Russia
Salary:
Starting salary for this position is 1100$ per month. This is negotiable based on experience.
