Dismantler - Vehicle Dismantling Technician
We are a leading vehicle dismantling company based in Akron, seeking a skilled and experienced Dismantler to join our team. As a Dismantler, you will be responsible for safely and efficiently dismantling vehicles to recover usable parts and materials.
Key Responsibilities:
- Disassemble vehicles using hand tools and power tools
- Remove reusable parts such as engines, transmissions, and body panels
- Drain fluids from vehicles in an environmentally responsible manner
- Sort and organize salvaged parts for inventory
- Maintain a clean and organized work area
- Follow all safety procedures to ensure a safe working environment
Requirements:
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Minimum of 2 years experience as a Dismantler or in a similar role
- Knowledge of automotive mechanics and electrical systems
- Ability to safely use hand tools and power tools
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions
- Physically fit with the ability to lift heavy objects (up to 50 lbs)
- Familiarity with OSHA regulations is a plus
Salary:
Starting salary for this position is $1600 per month. We also offer opportunities for career growth and advancement within our company.
Location:
This job is located in Akron, with easy access to public transportation.
Working Hours:
This is a full-time position, Monday through Friday from 8am to 5pm. Some overtime may be required during busy periods.
