Information Security Analyst


As an Information Security Analyst, you will be responsible for protecting the organization's sensitive data and information systems from potential cyber threats. This role requires a deep understanding of security principles and protocols, as well as the ability to identify and mitigate risks. You will work closely with other IT professionals to implement security measures and develop strategies to prevent and respond to security incidents.

Key Responsibilities:
- Monitor networks, systems, and applications for potential security breaches
- Investigate and analyze security incidents, determining their root cause and providing recommendations for remediation
- Develop and maintain security policies, procedures, and guidelines
- Conduct regular vulnerability assessments and penetration testing
- Implement access controls, firewalls, intrusion detection/prevention systems, encryption technologies, etc.
- Stay up-to-date with new threats and vulnerabilities in the field of information security

Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in information security or a similar role
- Knowledge of common operating systems, networks, web applications, databases, etc.
- Familiarity with industry standards such as ISO 27001/27002 and NIST framework
- Experience with vulnerability management tools (e.g. Nessus) and SIEM solutions (e.g. Splunk)
- Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail
- Strong communication skills to effectively collaborate with various teams

Location: Funchal (Open to candidates with own visa or students looking for part-time jobs)

Salary: $1500 per month
