Librarian

We are in search of a highly organized and detail-oriented Librarian to join our team in Faisalabad. The ideal candidate will have a passion for books and knowledge, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work independently. As a Librarian, you will be responsible for managing the library's collection, assisting patrons with research and reference requests, and organizing educational programs and events.

Responsibilities:
- Manage the library's collection by selecting, acquiring, cataloging, and classifying materials
- Assist patrons with research and reference requests
- Plan and organize educational programs and events such as book clubs, author readings, and workshops
- Maintain accurate records of library materials, loans, and patron information
- Collaborate with other librarians to develop new services and improve existing ones
- Stay up-to-date with current trends in literature and technology to enhance the library's offerings
- Train library assistants on proper procedures for maintaining the library collection
- Promote library services through social media platforms and other marketing strategies

Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Library Science or a related field
- Proven experience working as a Librarian or similar role
- Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously
- Strong knowledge of cataloging systems and classification techniques
- Familiarity with electronic databases and digital resources for research purposes
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to effectively assist patrons from diverse backgrounds
- Passion for reading and staying current on literary trends
- Ability to work independently while also being a team player
- Proficiency in social media platforms for promoting library services
