Sous Chef
Our busy restaurant in Wiltz is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Sous Chef to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for cooking and a strong background in culinary arts. As the Sous Chef, you will work closely with our Head Chef to create and execute delicious and innovative dishes for our menu.
Responsibilities:
- Assisting the Head Chef in menu planning and development
- Managing daily kitchen operations, including food preparation, cooking, and plating
- Ensuring quality and consistency of all dishes served
- Training, supervising, and motivating kitchen staff
- Maintaining inventory levels and ordering supplies as needed
- Adhering to food safety standards and regulations
- Collaborating with other team members to create new menu items or modify existing ones based on customer feedback or seasonal availability of ingredients
- Keeping track of kitchen expenses and maintaining budget goals
Requirements:
- Proven experience as a Sous Chef or similar role in a fast-paced restaurant environment
- A degree in Culinary Arts or relevant certification preferred
- Strong knowledge of food safety regulations and procedures
- Ability to multitask and work efficiently under pressure
- Excellent leadership skills with the ability to train, motivate, and manage a team
- Attention to detail with an eye for presentation
- Willingness to work flexible hours including evenings, weekends, and holidays
- Good communication skills
