Head Chef - African Cuisine (English Speaking)
We are in search of a skilled Head Chef with experience in African cuisine to join our team in Ajman. As the Head Chef, you will be responsible for overseeing the entire kitchen operation, from menu planning to food preparation and presentation. Your expertise in African cuisine will be crucial in creating unique and authentic dishes that will delight our customers. This is an urgent position, so we are looking for someone who can start immediately and hit the ground running.
Responsibilities:
- Create and update menus with a focus on African cuisine
- Train and manage kitchen staff, including sous chefs, line cooks, and prep cooks
- Ensure all food is prepared to the highest quality standards
- Monitor inventory levels and order supplies as needed
- Oversee food cost control and maintain budget goals
- Maintain a clean and organized kitchen environment
Requirements:
- Minimum of 5 years experience as an Executive Chef or Head Chef in a high-volume restaurant or hotel setting
- Extensive knowledge of African cuisine and cooking techniques
- Strong leadership skills with experience managing a team
- Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent communication skills, fluent in English (additional languages a plus)
- Must be able to legally work in Ajman
Salary: $1200 per month
