Our busy bakery in Nakuru is seeking an experienced Pastry Chef to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for creating delicious and visually appealing pastries and desserts. They should have a strong knowledge of different baking techniques, ingredients, and flavor combinations. The Pastry Chef will be responsible for preparing and baking a variety of pastries and desserts, as well as maintaining the cleanliness and organization of the kitchen. They must also have strong time management skills to ensure orders are completed in a timely manner. This is a full-time position with a salary of 900$ per month.

Responsibilities:
- Prepare and bake a variety of pastries and desserts according to recipes
- Create new and innovative pastry items to add to our menu
- Ensure all food safety standards are followed in the kitchen
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen at all times
- Collaborate with other chefs to plan menus and specials
- Train and supervise other kitchen staff as needed
- Monitor inventory levels and place orders for necessary ingredients
- Follow proper portion control for cost efficiency
- Adhere to health code regulations

Requirements:
- Minimum of 2 years experience as a Pastry Chef or similar role
- Strong knowledge of different baking techniques, ingredients, and flavor combinations
- Creativity in developing new pastry items
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining quality standards
- Excellent time management skills
- Attention to detail for plating and presentation of pastries
- Ability to train and supervise other kitchen staff
- Knowledge of food safety regulations
Education:
Certificate or diploma in Culinary Arts or related field preferred but not required.

Working Conditions:
The work schedule may vary depending on business needs, including weekends, evenings, holidays, etc. This is a full-time position with a salary of 900$ per month.
