Pastry Chef in Nakuru, Kenya
We are excited to offer a position for a talented and experienced Pastry Chef to join our team in Nakuru, Kenya. As a Pastry Chef, you will be responsible for creating delectable pastries and desserts that will delight our customers.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare and produce a variety of pastries, desserts, and other baked goods according to established recipes and standards
- Ensure all ingredients used are fresh and of high quality
- Monitor inventory levels and order supplies as needed
- Maintain cleanliness and organization in the pastry kitchen
- Create new and innovative pastry items while keeping up with current food trends
- Train junior pastry chefs on proper techniques and recipes
- Collaborate with the culinary team to develop new menus for special events or holidays
Requirements:
- At least 2 years experience as a Pastry Chef in a high-volume restaurant or hotel setting
- Culinary degree or equivalent certification preferred
- Extensive knowledge of baking techniques, ingredients, equipment, and sanitation standards
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
- Team player with excellent communication skills
- Creativity and passion for creating unique and delicious desserts
Working Conditions:

Salary:
