Sous Chef - Doha, Qatar
We are in need of an experienced Sous Chef to join our team in Doha, Qatar. This role requires a professional with excellent culinary skills and a passion for creating delicious and visually appealing dishes. As a Sous Chef, you will be responsible for assisting the Head Chef in managing the kitchen operations, supervising the cooking staff, and maintaining high food quality and hygiene standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist the Head Chef in menu planning and creating new dishes
- Train and supervise the cooking staff, ensuring they adhere to food safety standards
- Oversee food preparation, cooking, and presentation to ensure consistent quality
- Monitor inventory levels and order supplies as needed
- Maintain a clean and organized kitchen area at all times
Requirements:
- Proven experience as a Sous Chef or similar role in a high-end restaurant or hotel
- Strong knowledge of various cooking methods, ingredients, equipment, and procedures
- Creativity and ability to develop new dishes while keeping up with food trends
- Excellent leadership skills with the ability to train and motivate a team
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills
- Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment
- Fluent English communication skills
Salary: 1200$ per month (tax-free)
Nationality: Kenyan preferred but not required
