Indian Executive Chef in Nakuru, Kenya
We are seeking an experienced and highly skilled Indian Executive Chef to join our team in Nakuru, Kenya. This is a seasonal job with a salary of 1600$ per month. As an Indian Executive Chef, you will be responsible for creating and overseeing the execution of delicious and authentic Indian cuisine at our restaurant. Responsibilities:
- Create menus and oversee the preparation of traditional and modern Indian dishes
- Train and supervise kitchen staff to ensure high-quality standards are met
- Manage inventory, food cost, and overall budget for the kitchen
- Maintain a clean and organized kitchen environment
- Ensure all food safety regulations are being followed
- Collaborate with management to develop new dishes and promotions
- Stay updated on industry trends and incorporate them into menu offerings
Requirements:
- Must be of Indian nationality or have extensive knowledge and experience in Indian cuisine
- Minimum of 5 years' experience as an Executive Chef in a high-volume restaurant or hotel setting
- Proven track record of creating innovative menus that meet customer demand
- Excellent leadership skills with the ability to motivate and train kitchen staff
- Knowledge of food cost management, inventory control, and budgeting
- Strong understanding of food safety regulations
- Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment
- Willingness to relocate to Nakuru, Kenya for the duration of the seasonal job
