Accountant for a Growing Company in Mombasa, Kenya

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Accountant to join our growing team in Mombasa, Kenya. As an Accountant, you will be responsible for managing all financial transactions and preparing accurate financial reports for our company. Your role will also involve analyzing financial data, identifying areas for improvement, and implementing financial policies and procedures to ensure the company's financial stability. Responsibilities:
- Manage all accounting transactions, including accounts payable/receivable, bank reconciliations, and general ledger entries
- Prepare accurate and timely financial reports such as balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements
- Analyze financial data to identify potential errors or discrepancies
- Develop and implement efficient accounting policies and procedures
- Maintain accurate records of all financial transactions
- Monitor cash flow and make recommendations for improvement
- Assist with budget preparation and forecasting
- Ensure compliance with local laws and regulations regarding taxes and reporting
- Communicate with clients/vendors regarding billing or payment inquiries

Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance (or similar field)
- Proven work experience as an Accountant (2+ years preferred)
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles (GAAP)
- Excellent mathematical skills with an attention to detail
- Proficient in MS Office Suite (especially Excel) and accounting software (QuickBooks preferred)
- Ability to prioritize tasks effectively while working under tight deadlines
- Excellent communication skills (both verbal and written)
- Familiarity with local tax laws/regulations is a plus

Salary: $1200 per month (negotiable based on experience)

Location: Mombasa, Kenya
