Sous Chef
As a Sous Chef at our modern and bustling restaurant in Isa Town, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the success of our culinary operations. We are seeking an experienced and talented chef who is passionate about creating delicious and visually appealing dishes. You will work closely with the Head Chef to plan and execute menu items that will leave our customers satisfied and coming back for more.
Responsibilities:
- Assisting the Head Chef in managing kitchen operations, including food preparation, cooking, and plating
- Supervising and training junior kitchen staff to ensure high quality standards are maintained
- Developing new menu items that are both creative and profitable
- Maintaining food inventory levels and ordering supplies as needed
- Ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations at all times
- Collaborating with the Head Chef to create special menus for events or promotions
- Maintaining a clean and organized kitchen environment
Requirements:
- Minimum of 3 years experience as a Sous Chef or similar role in a fast-paced restaurant environment
- Culinary degree or equivalent certification preferred
- Strong knowledge of various cooking techniques, ingredients, and flavor profiles
- Ability to work well under pressure and meet tight deadlines while maintaining quality standards
- Excellent leadership skills with the ability to motivate and train junior staff members
- Attention to detail with a focus on presentation, taste, and consistency of dishes
- Knowledge of health and safety regulations related to food preparation and handling
Salary: $1500 per month (negotiable based on experience)
