Office Assistant for Canadian Company in Washington
We are a Canadian company seeking an Office Assistant to join our growing team in Washington. This is an urgent position with a salary of $1500 per month. As an Office Assistant, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth and efficient operation of our office. Your responsibilities will include answering phone calls and emails, scheduling appointments, managing office supplies, and assisting with administrative tasks.
To be successful in this role, you must have excellent communication skills and be highly organized. Fluency in English is preferred but not required as long as you have basic communication skills. Previous experience in an office setting is also preferred.
Key Responsibilities:
- Answering phone calls and emails, directing inquiries to the appropriate person
- Scheduling appointments and maintaining calendars
- Managing office supplies and placing orders when necessary
- Assisting with administrative tasks such as data entry, filing, and organizing documents
- Greeting visitors and providing them with necessary information
- Assisting with event planning and coordination
- Other duties as assigned
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent; additional education or training is a plus
- Strong communication skills and ability to interact effectively with colleagues and clients of diverse backgrounds
- Highly organized with strong attention to detail
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook)
- Previous experience in an office setting is preferred but not required
