Sous Chef
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Sous Chef to join our team at a prestigious restaurant in Sharjah. As the Sous Chef, you will work closely with the Head Chef to oversee the kitchen operations and ensure that all dishes are prepared to the highest standards. The ideal candidate will have a strong culinary background, exceptional leadership skills, and a passion for creating delicious and visually appealing dishes.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist the Head Chef in managing all aspects of the kitchen, including food preparation, cooking, and presentation
- Collaborate with the Head Chef to create new menu items and specials
- Train and supervise kitchen staff on proper food preparation techniques and safety procedures
- Ensure that all food products are of high quality and meet health and safety regulations
- Monitor inventory levels and place orders for ingredients as needed
- Maintain a clean and organized kitchen area
- Handle any customer complaints or issues related to food quality or service
- Adhere to budgetary guidelines set by management
Requirements:
- Minimum of 5 years experience as a Sous Chef or similar role in a high-end restaurant setting
- Culinary degree or equivalent certification preferred
- Strong knowledge of various cooking techniques, ingredients, and cuisines
- Ability to lead and motivate a team in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent communication skills (both verbal and written)
- Attention to detail with an eye for presentation
- Ability to work flexible hours including evenings, weekends, and holidays
- Must have valid work permit for Sharjah
Salary: 1600$ per month (negotiable based on experience)
