Position: Database Administrator
Location: Vilnius, Lithuania
Salary: 1300$
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Database Administrator to join our team in Vilnius. As a Database Administrator, you will be responsible for the performance, integrity, and security of our company databases. You will also be involved in planning, developing, and maintaining our database systems.
Responsibilities:
- Design and implement database structures and schemas
- Monitor database performance and troubleshoot any issues that arise
- Ensure data integrity and security by implementing proper backup and recovery procedures
- Collaborate with development teams to optimize database usage for applications
- Perform database maintenance tasks such as data purging and index rebuilding
- Plan for future expansion of databases to accommodate company growth
- Train users on how to access and use the databases effectively
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field preferred
- Proven work experience as a Database Administrator or similar role required
- Knowledge of database management systems (SQL Server, Oracle)
- Experience with database design, normalization, and tuning
- Familiarity with backup and recovery procedures
- Excellent troubleshooting skills to quickly identify and resolve issues
- Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively in a team environment
