Senior Accountant
As a Senior Accountant, you will be responsible for overseeing the financial records and transactions of our company in Akron. You will work closely with the finance team to ensure accurate and timely financial reporting.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage and oversee the daily operations of the accounting department
- Prepare and maintain financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements
- Conduct month-end and year-end closing procedures
- Reconcile bank statements and general ledger accounts
- Analyze financial data and provide insights to improve profitability, cash flow, and cost control
- Monitor accounts payable and receivable to ensure timely payments and collections
- Assist with budgeting and forecasting processes
- Ensure compliance with accounting standards and regulations
- Train and supervise junior accounting staff
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance
- Minimum of 5 years experience as an Accountant or related role
- CPA certification preferred
- Extensive knowledge of accounting principles
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel
- Strong analytical skills
- Excellent communication skills
- Ability to multitask and meet tight deadlines
