Executive Chef - Indian Cuisine (Jeddah, Saudi Arabia)
We are in search of a talented and experienced Executive Chef specializing in Indian cuisine to join our team in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia. The ideal candidate will have a passion for creating and executing authentic Indian dishes while maintaining high standards of quality and consistency.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and update menus with creative and innovative Indian dishes
- Source high-quality ingredients and maintain relationships with suppliers
- Train and supervise kitchen staff to ensure consistency in food preparation
- Monitor inventory levels and order supplies as needed
- Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and maintain a clean and organized kitchen
- Collaborate with management to plan special events or promotions featuring Indian cuisine
Requirements:
- Proven experience as an Executive Chef specializing in Indian cuisine
- Excellent knowledge of traditional and modern Indian dishes, cooking techniques, and ingredients
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and train kitchen staff
- Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment
- Knowledge of food safety regulations and experience maintaining a clean kitchen
- Flexible schedule, including weekends, evenings, and holidays if necessary
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 5 years experience working as an Executive Chef in an upscale restaurant or hotel
- Culinary degree or equivalent certifications/training preferred
- Proficient in English (knowledge of Arabic is a plus)
- Valid residence visa/work permit for Saudi Arabia (own visa preferred)
- Excellent time-management skills
