Instrument Technician
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Instrument Technician to join our team in Lom, Africa. In this role, you will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing various instruments and control systems used in industrial processes. You will also be responsible for troubleshooting any issues that may arise and ensuring that all instruments are functioning correctly to meet production requirements.
Responsibilities:
- Install, calibrate, maintain, and repair various instruments such as pressure gauges, thermometers, flow meters, and level sensors.
- Troubleshoot any instrument malfunctions or issues to determine the root cause and implement effective solutions.
- Conduct routine inspections and preventative maintenance on all instruments to ensure optimal performance.
- Collaborate with other technicians and engineers to identify potential improvements or upgrades for existing instrument systems.
- Monitor instrument readings and data to ensure accuracy and make adjustments as needed.
- Comply with all safety regulations and company policies while performing job duties.
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent required; technical degree or certification in instrumentation preferred.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience working as an Instrument Technician in an industrial setting.
- Knowledge of various instrumentation systems including pneumatic, electronic, hydraulic, and digital control systems.
- Experience reading technical diagrams and schematics.
- Strong troubleshooting skills with the ability to quickly identify issues and implement solutions.
- Ability to work independently as well as in a team environment.
- Physically capable of lifting heavy equipment (up to 50 lbs) and working in tight spaces.
Salary: $1500 per month.
