Entry-Level Librarian in Abu Dhabi


We are seeking a motivated and enthusiastic Kenyan individual to join our library team in Abu Dhabi. This is a great opportunity for someone looking to start their career as a librarian, without the need for prior experience or advanced English proficiency. As an entry-level librarian, you will be responsible for assisting patrons with finding materials, organizing and shelving books, and maintaining the overall order and cleanliness of the library.

Key Responsibilities:
- Greet patrons and assist them with finding materials
- Organize and shelve books according to the library's cataloguing system
- Ensure all books are in their proper place and maintain overall order of the library
- Assist with checking materials in and out using electronic systems
- Provide basic reference services to patrons
- Assist with inventory management and ordering new materials when needed
- Participate in library programs and events
- Maintain a welcoming and safe environment for all patrons

Requirements:
- Kenyan nationality preferred
- Ability to work without accommodation provided
- Valid visa and ticket expenses will be covered by the company
- Passion for books, reading, and learning
- Basic computer skills
- Strong organizational skills
- Ability to work well independently as well as part of a team
- Excellent communication skills
- High school diploma or equivalent (degree in Library Science is a plus)

Salary:
1300$ per month
