IT Support Technician

We are seeking a skilled and dedicated IT Support Technician to join our team in Funchal, Portugal. As an IT Support Technician, you will be responsible for providing technical assistance to computer system users, troubleshooting issues, and maintaining computer systems and networks.

Responsibilities:
- Responding to user inquiries and providing technical support for hardware and software issues
- Installing, configuring, and maintaining computer systems and networks
- Diagnosing and resolving technical issues with hardware, software, or network connectivity
- Setting up new equipment and ensuring proper functionality
- Managing user accounts and permissions
- Performing routine maintenance on computers and networks
- Educating users on basic troubleshooting techniques to resolve common problems
- Escalating complex issues to the appropriate IT specialists when necessary

Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent; degree in Computer Science or related field preferred
- Proven work experience as an IT Support Technician or similar role is a plus
- Strong knowledge of computer hardware, software, networking, and operating systems
- Familiarity with remote desktop applications and help desk software is a plus
- Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to diagnose and troubleshoot technical issues
- Strong communication skills with the ability to explain technical information in simple terms
- Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively in a team environment

Salary:
This position offers a salary of 1400$ per month.

Location:
This position is based in Funchal, Portugal.

No prior experience is required for this position. However, candidates with previous experience in a similar role will be given preference.
