Senior Accountant

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Accountant to join our finance team in Albena, Bulgaria. As a Senior Accountant, you will be responsible for managing and overseeing all financial activities of our company. This includes preparing financial statements, analyzing budgets and expenses, and providing financial advice to management.

Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare and review financial statements on a monthly and annual basis
- Monitor and analyze budget variances and provide recommendations for cost-cutting measures
- Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable processes
- Conduct regular audits to ensure compliance with accounting regulations
- Prepare tax returns and ensure timely submission
- Provide financial advice to management for strategic decision making
- Oversee the preparation of budgets and forecasts
- Review and approve journal entries, invoices, and other accounting documents
- Train and mentor junior accounting staff

Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance
- Minimum of 5 years experience in accounting or related field
- Strong understanding of accounting principles, standards, laws, and regulations
- Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail
- Proficient in MS Office and accounting software (SAP, QuickBooks)
- Strong analytical skills with ability to identify trends and variances
- Excellent communication skills in English (additional languages are a plus)
- Ability to work independently as well as in a team environment
