Hotel Sales Manager
Our luxury hotel in Eldoret is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Hotel Sales Manager to join our dynamic team. As the Hotel Sales Manager, you will be responsible for developing and implementing sales strategies to increase revenue and occupancy rates. You will also manage and train the sales team, build relationships with clients and partners, and analyze market trends to identify new business opportunities. The ideal candidate must have a minimum of 5 years experience in hotel sales management, excellent communication and negotiation skills, and a proven track record of achieving sales targets. This is a full-time position with a competitive salary package including benefits. Visa sponsorship is available for qualified candidates.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement effective sales strategies to increase revenue and occupancy rates
- Manage the sales team to ensure they are meeting their targets
- Build relationships with clients, partners, and industry professionals
- Analyze market trends to identify new business opportunities
- Conduct regular market research to stay up-to-date on industry trends
- Create and maintain accurate sales reports and forecasts
- Collaborate with other departments to ensure guest satisfaction and smooth operations
- Train new employees on hotel products, services, policies, and procedures
- Attend trade shows, conferences, and networking events to promote the hotel
- Stay updated on competition activities in the local market
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration or related field preferred
- Minimum of 5 years experience in hotel sales management or related field required
- Excellent communication skills (verbal and written) with the ability to present confidently to clients/partners
- Strong negotiation skills with a proven track record of achieving sales targets
- Ability to analyze data/trends effectively and make strategic decisions based on findings
- Experience in managing a team of sales professionals preferred
- Proven ability to build strong relationships with clients/partners/industry professionals
- Knowledge of local market trends and competition activities
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
- Must be able to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays
