Information Security Analyst - Contract Position in St. Petersburg, Russia


We have an immediate need for an experienced Information Security Analyst to join our team on a contract basis in St. Petersburg, Russia. As an Information Security Analyst, you will be responsible for identifying and mitigating potential security risks and threats to our organization's systems and data. Your role will be crucial in maintaining the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of our information assets.

Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct regular risk assessments and vulnerability scans to identify potential security threats
- Monitor network traffic for any suspicious activity and promptly investigate and respond to security incidents
- Develop and implement security policies, procedures, and controls to ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and implement secure solutions for new projects or systems
- Provide ongoing training and awareness programs to employees on information security best practices
- Stay up-to-date on the latest cybersecurity trends, threats, and vulnerabilities

Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity or related field
- Minimum of 3 years of experience as an Information Security Analyst or similar role
- Strong understanding of network protocols, firewalls, intrusion detection/prevention systems (IDS/IPS), antivirus software, encryption technologies, etc.
- Experience with risk assessment methodologies such as ISO 27001 or NIST Cybersecurity Framework
- Familiarity with common operating systems (Windows, Linux) and cloud technologies (AWS, Azure)
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams
