Librarian for a Private School in Herzliya, Israel


We are seeking a highly qualified and experienced Librarian to join our private school in Herzliya, Israel. As the Librarian, you will be responsible for managing the school's library and providing resources and support to students and faculty.

Main responsibilities:
- Manage the day-to-day operations of the school library
- Develop and maintain an organized system for cataloging and shelving library materials
- Assist students and faculty with research projects and locating relevant resources
- Promote literacy by organizing book clubs, author visits, and other educational events
- Collaborate with teachers to integrate library resources into lesson plans
- Stay up-to-date with new technologies and trends in library science
- Train students on how to use library resources effectively
- Maintain a welcoming and inclusive atmosphere in the library

Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Library Science or related field
- Minimum of 2 years experience working as a librarian, preferably in an educational setting
- Excellent organizational skills with strong attention to detail
- Strong communication skills to effectively assist students and collaborate with faculty
- Knowledge of cataloging systems such as Dewey Decimal Classification or Library of Congress Classification
- Familiarity with electronic databases, e-books, and other digital resources
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
