Moderator for Online Discussion Forums

As a Moderator for Online Discussion Forums, you will be responsible for monitoring and managing online discussions on various forums and social media platforms. This job is suitable for someone with experience in forum moderation and a passion for facilitating meaningful discussions. You will be based in Jerusalem, overseeing discussions related to Africa and its diaspora, making this job ideal for someone with an interest in African affairs.

Responsibilities:
- Monitor online discussions and ensure they comply with forum guidelines
- Engage with forum users to foster a positive and welcoming community
- Identify and address any inappropriate or harmful content
- Collaborate with team members to develop new discussion topics and events
- Stay up-to-date on current events related to Africa and its diaspora
- Provide feedback on user engagement and suggest improvements to enhance the community experience

Requirements:
- Minimum of 2 years experience in online forum moderation
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal (fluency in English preferred)
- Knowledge of African cultures, current events, and social issues
- Ability to handle difficult situations with tact and diplomacy
- Strong attention to detail
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team

Salary: $1600 per month

Location: Jerusalem (remote work may be considered)
