Finisher - Woodworking and Furniture Finishing Specialist


We are seeking a skilled Finisher to join our woodworking and furniture finishing team in Jerusalem. As a Finisher, you will be responsible for applying and finishing various wood coatings, such as stains, paints, and varnishes, to enhance the appearance and durability of our products. This position requires attention to detail, precision, and creativity in achieving a high-quality finish for our custom-made furniture pieces.

Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare wood surfaces for finishing by sanding, filling in gaps, and smoothing out imperfections
- Apply various wood coatings using spray guns, brushes, or other tools according to specifications
- Mix or match paint colors to achieve desired results
- Ensure proper drying time between coats and perform touch-ups as needed
- Use specialized techniques such as distressing or antiquing to achieve desired finish
- Inspect finished products for quality control and make any necessary adjustments
- Maintain an organized workspace and properly clean tools after use
- Keep track of inventory of finishing supplies and notify supervisor when replenishment is needed

Requirements:
- Proven experience as a Finisher or similar role in woodworking/furniture industry
- Knowledge of different types of wood finishes and their application techniques
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints or design plans
- Familiarity with safety procedures when handling chemicals used in finishing processes
- Attention to detail with an eye for color matching and overall aesthetics
- Physical ability to stand for long periods of time, lift heavy objects, and work with hand tools
- Good communication skills in English (Hebrew is a plus)
- Canadian citizenship or work visa sponsorship available
