Junior Information Security Analyst

As a Junior Information Security Analyst, you will be responsible for protecting the company's sensitive information and systems from cyber threats. You will work closely with other members of the information security team to identify potential vulnerabilities and develop strategies to mitigate them. This entry-level position is perfect for individuals with a passion for technology and an interest in cybersecurity.

Responsibilities:
- Conduct regular vulnerability assessments and penetration testing to identify potential weaknesses in the organization's systems.
- Monitor network and system logs for suspicious activity and respond promptly to any security incidents.
- Assist in developing and implementing security policies, procedures, and best practices.
- Stay up-to-date on the latest security threats, trends, and industry developments.
- Collaborate with other departments to ensure compliance with relevant regulations and standards.
- Participate in incident response activities as needed.

Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Familiarity with common security tools such as firewalls, intrusion detection/prevention systems, and antivirus software.
- Strong understanding of networking concepts and protocols (TCP/IP, DNS, HTTP).
- Knowledge of operating systems (Windows, Linux) and virtualization technologies.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently as well as in a team environment.

Preferred Qualifications:
- Relevant certifications (e.g., CompTIA Security+, Certified Information Systems Security Professional).
- Previous experience in information security or IT support roles.
- Familiarity with industry regulations such as GDPR or HIPAA.
