Interpreter (English-Swahili)
The interpreter will provide language interpretation services from English to Swahili and vice versa for clients in a variety of settings, including conferences, meetings, and legal proceedings. They must have a strong command of both languages and be able to accurately and efficiently convey the meaning and tone of the speaker. The ideal candidate will have previous experience as an interpreter, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment. This is a full-time position with a salary of $1300 per month, located in Washington D.C. Fluency in both English and Swahili is required, but no additional languages are necessary. Accommodation will not be provided for this position.

Responsibilities:
- Provide accurate interpretation services from English to Swahili and vice versa
- Maintain professional conduct and confidentiality at all times
- Familiarize oneself with relevant terminology for specific industries or topics
- Prepare for assignments by researching subject matter or reviewing materials
- Communicate effectively with clients to ensure understanding of their needs
- Act as a cultural liaison between parties if necessary
- Keep documentation of interpreted conversations for reference if needed

Requirements:
- Fluency in both English and Swahili
- Proven experience as an interpreter or similar role
- Strong command of grammar, spelling, punctuation in both languages
- Excellent communication skills, including active listening and speaking clearly and concisely
- Ability to remain calm under pressure and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
- Knowledge of relevant terminology for various industries or topics
- Professionalism and ability to maintain confidentiality at all times
