Formwork Technician


Formwork technicians are skilled professionals who are responsible for creating temporary molds or structures used to support concrete during construction projects. They work closely with engineers and construction teams to ensure that the formwork is accurately set up and maintained throughout the duration of the project.

Responsibilities:
- Read and interpret blueprints and construction plans to determine formwork requirements
- Measure, cut, and assemble materials such as timber, plywood, or steel to create formwork structures
- Install and secure formwork according to specifications, using hand tools or power tools
- Monitor the stability and integrity of formwork during concrete pouring
- Remove formwork after concrete has set and inspect for any defects or damage
- Repair or replace damaged formwork components as needed
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations at all times
- Communicate effectively with team members to coordinate work tasks

Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- At least 2 years of experience in formwork construction
- Proficient in reading blueprints and construction plans
- Strong mathematical skills for accurate measurements and calculations
- Familiarity with hand tools and power tools
- Physically fit and able to lift heavy objects as needed
- Ability to work at heights and in various weather conditions
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions closely

Preferred:
- Certification in formwork construction or related field
Location: Clairvaux, France. This is a preference but not a strict requirement.
Salary: $1300 per month. This is a preference but not a strict requirement.
