Preservation Architect for Historic Buildings in Herzliya, Israel
Our architectural preservation firm is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Preservation Architect to join our team in Herzliya, Israel. As a Preservation Architect, you will be responsible for the restoration and preservation of historic buildings and structures in the city.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct thorough research and analysis on historic buildings, including their architectural style, materials used, and historical significance
- Develop detailed preservation plans and proposals for restoration projects
- Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and contractors to ensure adherence to preservation standards
- Conduct regular site visits and inspections to monitor progress and quality of work
- Utilize modern technology and techniques to preserve historic structures while maintaining their original character
- Prepare project reports and documentation for clients and regulatory agencies
Requirements:
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Architecture with a specialization in Historic Preservation
- Minimum of 5 years of experience working on restoration or preservation projects for historic buildings
- Strong knowledge of architectural history, styles, materials, and construction techniques
- Proficient in AutoCAD, Revit, SketchUp or other relevant software programs
- Excellent communication skills (both written and verbal) in English
- Valid biometric passport with at least 6 months validity
- Ability to work on a contract basis with accommodation provided
