Head Pastry Chef


We are in search of an experienced and skilled Head Pastry Chef to join our team in Dar Kulaib, Bahrain. As the Head Pastry Chef, you will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of the pastry department, from creating and developing new pastry recipes to managing the production and presentation of all pastry items. Your creativity, attention to detail, and passion for pastry will be essential in providing our customers with exceptional desserts and pastries.

Key Responsibilities:
- Develop new pastry recipes and update existing ones to meet changing customer preferences
- Create menus for special events or occasions, ensuring a variety of flavors and styles
- Oversee the production and presentation of all pastry items, maintaining high standards of quality
- Train and supervise junior pastry chefs and kitchen staff in proper techniques and procedures
- Manage inventory and ordering of ingredients to ensure freshness and availability
- Maintain a clean and organized kitchen environment, adhering to food safety standards at all times
- Collaborate with other departments such as catering or banquet teams to coordinate dessert offerings
- Stay updated on industry trends, techniques, and innovations in order to continuously improve our pastry offerings

Requirements:
- Proven experience as a Pastry Chef or similar role in a high-end restaurant or hotel setting
- Degree or certification in Culinary Arts or Pastry Arts preferred
- Extensive knowledge of different types of pastries, baking methods, and decoration techniques
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to train, motivate, and manage a team effectively
- Excellent time-management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment
- Attention to detail with an eye for aesthetics when it comes to plating desserts/pastries
- Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively with other departments
- Fluent in English (Arabic proficiency is a plus)
Salary: $1700 per month (negotiable based on experience and qualifications)
