Experienced Turner for Manufacturing Company in Los Angeles

We are a well-established manufacturing company in Los Angeles seeking an experienced Turner to join our team. As a Turner, you will be responsible for operating and maintaining various machines used to shape metal parts. Our ideal candidate should have prior experience working as a Turner in a manufacturing setting and be able to read blueprints and use precision measuring tools.

Responsibilities:
- Set up and operate turning machines to produce metal components according to specifications
- Read and interpret blueprints, sketches, or work orders to determine machine setup and operations
- Use precision measuring tools such as micrometers and calipers to ensure accuracy of finished products
- Inspect finished parts for defects and make adjustments as needed
- Maintain machines by performing routine maintenance tasks such as cleaning and lubricating
- Troubleshoot any issues that may arise during the production process

Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent required; technical training or certification in machining preferred
- Minimum of 2 years experience working as a Turner in a manufacturing environment
- Experience reading blueprints and using precision measuring tools
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Strong attention to detail and quality control skills
